MİÇO (Children of Seasonal Agricultural Workers)

Every year in Türkiye, thousands of families migrate seasonally to different regions within the country to work as seasonal migrant workers. Seeing the inability of children of seasonal migrant workers, who constitute a significant share of our country's agricultural workforce, to continue their education and the resulting interruptions as a social problem, we launched the MİÇO (Migrant Worker Children) Project on our farms in 2015 to find solutions to this issue. To ensure that children forced to migrate with their families can continue their education without interruption, we cooperate with the Provincialof National Education and Public Education.

We guide families of MİÇO children residing on our farms to register them in the nearest regional school during the school year, support and lead the process, and contribute to ensuring their transportation to school through the school transportation system. After the schools close, we provide children with training in various fields such as painting, handicrafts, music, physical education, theater, folk dances, English, robotics coding, and Turkish in the educational areas we have opened on our farms, with the guidance of teachers assigned by the Public Education.

With our MİÇO program, we have built bridges to the dreams of more than 2,800 children to date.
